A Full-Circle Moment for Tandem: Building Hope for Foster Children
Wednesday morning was a full-circle moment for the Tandem team—especially for our president, Brian Leaver.
At the groundbreaking of the Safe Children Coalition’s new youth shelter for teens, Brian reflected on the project’s deep personal meaning. For over a decade, from 2009 to 2021, Brian and his wife, Katherine, opened their home to over 60 foster children. This experience and the team’s ongoing support of the Safe Children Coalition’s Foster Angel Program have shaped Tandem’s dedication to helping children in foster care.
Several years ago, Tandem expanded their impact by partnering with local subcontractors to support the program. What began as a small effort has grown into an annual tradition of providing gifts to over 100 children in Foster Care, providing hope, and a sense of belonging to children in need during the holidays.
This project is more than just a build. It’s personal and a testament to Safe Children Coalition's impact on people’s lives, including ours.
